What the Google TV driver does

Remote and navigation

  • Full SR-260 and Navigator remote: arrows, OK, back, exit, home, menu, guide, info, page up/down
  • Channels up/down, direct channel entry, previous channel
  • Press-and-hold works: hold fast forward or volume and it keeps going

Media and apps

  • Play, pause, stop, fast forward, rewind, skip, record, DVR, coloured buttons
  • Launch Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Disney+ from programming

Reliability

  • Real power feedback: Navigators show the box on or off
  • Reconnects by itself after a power cut, reboot or Wi-Fi drop
  • Plain-English status in Composer and a debug mode that switches itself off

  • Telus TV+ boxes, Chromecast with Google TV, Google TV Streamer, Nvidia Shield
  • Google TV and Android TV sets and projectors (Hisense, TCL, Sony, Philips and others)
  • Control4 OS 3.0 or newer. Box needs a fixed IP on the controller's network.

How it works

  1. Add the driverLoad it in Composer and set the box IP. The Box ID appears in its properties.
  2. Pay herePaste the Box ID above and pay by card. Takes about a minute.
  3. Paste the keyCopy the key from the next page into the driver's License Key property. Done.

Questions

Is this a subscription?

No. $50 once per box. No yearly fee, and no internet needed once it's licensed.

What if the box gets replaced?

Box replaced under warranty? We re-issue the key free.

How long does setup take?

About two minutes. Enter the box IP, type the 6-character code the TV shows, paste your key. The full setup and troubleshooting guide is in the driver's Documentation tab in Composer.

Is this an official Control4 driver?

No. It's an independent third-party driver, built and supported by The Driver Cave.
